Brownsville / Event
As the joy of Christmas Season 2019 settles over northern California, the historic gold rush communities of the North Sierra Foothills will be buzzing with the 27th Annual Christmas in the Foothills on Saturday and Sunday, December 7 & 8 from 10am – 5pm. The trail winds through the serene oak filled hills of Browns Valley, Loma Rica, Bangor, and Dobbins/Oregon House, then continues up through the pine forests of Brownsville. You will find restaurants, wineries, shops, craft fairs, and more. Wine, dine and shop your way through the beautiful North Sierra Foothills.
This event started in 1992 in an effort to highlight the businesses and non-profit organizations who do so much for residents in these communities. The Rabbit Creek Journal and Yuba Feather Community Services originally co-sponsored the event but over the years it has become a community run and sponsored event. No business is charged a fee for participation as volunteers take on the planning. It is an excellent way to showcase the beautiful, rural, forested area in which we live.
The most important part of the event has always been the people who work so hard every day to make life in the foothills a little easier. Supporting these foothill businesses can really make a difference for them. Come shop without traffic and the parking is plentiful. All of us here in the North Sierra Foothills are looking forward to welcoming you!
